More on Funding for Special Needs Individuals

Out of all of my blog posts, the most viewed post is on funding. Funding in the special needs world is huge. We all want services for our children, but the services add up fast. There are also services that insurance will not cover, such as, the sensory learning center, behavioral therapy, ABA, social groups, equine therapy, canine therapy, and aquatic therapy. Insurance also limits the amount of therapy visits a child can have a year. So what are your funding options?
Earlier, I spoke about Early Intervention, Public School Therapy, and Government Programs for the Disabled. Recently, I came across one more…Special Needs Grants! Yes! Individuals can get Special Needs Grants. You have to take the time to apply, but you could get $100 to $1,000 per grant. With therapy costs and equipment adding up quickly, it is great to have another option. To access special needs grants, I highly recommend googling “Special Needs Grants”.  There are many to choose from. Good luck!
